The Opportunity for Investment

International investors in the construction sector are assigning ever-greater importance to the Turkish property market. By January 2008 Turkey has demonstrated 23 consecutive quarters of continuous economic growth, and the IMF is unreserved in their praise of the reshaping of the Turkish economy. The consistency of economic indicators and the continuous increase in the scope of business here that is supported by foreign investment is collectively creating an accelerated demand within the construction sector.

Selling prices are still relatively low in Turkey, (as a reflection of even lower construction costs in percentage terms) and where standards of development are high the Turkish Coast is an ideal investment and lifestyle opportunity.

Turkey has reached a point of balance between what is fashionably modern and what is fascinatingly traditional.  All this exists within a secure environment demonstrating a respect for individual rights.  There is a natural positive fascination of Turks towards foreigners, which is happily interpreted by visitors as hospitality.  The region boasts some of the best holiday weather in the world, “blue flag” beaches, unspoilt natural beauty, a very rich historical fabric, and an unquestionable local cultural inheritance.

Turkey offers potential for investment in familiar fields of construction activity, at rates of return that can rarely be found in the UK and the rest of Europe.  As an investor, you may not have previously considered Turkey as a potential for investment, you may have looked into opportunities here but did not find the right project, land or partner.  The facts are consistently that whilst the opportunity exists, investors are too often dissuaded from converting their initial interest into reality.
